Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled his vision to transform the state into a global knowledge hub during the inauguration of the Deep Tech/GovTech Conclave in Visakhapatnam.
He emphasized the critical role of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and information technology in achieving this goal.
In his keynote address, the chief minister remarked, “We have access to mobile phones and cutting-edge technology, yet if we don’t utilize these tools, we cannot compete on a global scale. However, it’s equally crucial to understand how to use them effectively.”
Reflecting on his journey in pioneering IT initiatives in India since the late 1990s, he recounted the collaborative efforts that led to significant developments in Hyderabad’s IT landscape.
The Chief Minister outlined his vision for leveraging advanced technologies across various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, logistics, and energy. He proposed innovative applications such as smart farming using drones and precision agriculture techniques. Furthermore, he emphasized the need for zero-budget natural farming and positioned Andhra Pradesh as a potential leader in food supply innovations.
The chief minister also introduced the “Vision 2047: Swarna Andhra Pradesh,” which aims for a 15% annual growth rate by addressing legacy challenges through proactive monitoring and innovative policies. The key pillars of this vision include eradicating poverty through public- people -private partnerships (P4), generating employment via deep tech initiatives, and enhancing human resource development through globally recognized education and skill centers.
He reiterated the importance of urbanization and flexible work models while fostering entrepreneurship.
In addition to technological advancements, he stressed the importance of product perfection and brand promotion. He introduced a new slogan: “One family, one entrepreneur,” aimed at nurturing entrepreneurship within families across the state.
Former Chief Secretary SP Tucker addressing the conclave, announced plans for regular conferences and highlighting six strategies aimed at transforming governance through deep technology.
He highlighted the launch of a transformative initiative akin to India’s own World Economic Forum, inviting everyone to actively participate.
He mentioned that the Chief Minister has proposed holding at least one conference each month, alternating between government-led and GFSD-organized events.

He noted the state government’s significant initiatives over the past six months, and emphasized the government’s commitment to leveraging deep technology to transform governance.
One major initiative highlighted was the creation of a comprehensive citizen database that ensures secure data management to deliver services effectively from birth to death.
Addressing the start-up ecosystem, he reaffirmed Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to fostering innovation by supporting start-ups in identifying use cases, facilitating proofs of concept, and developing a robust certification system in collaboration with academia.
